Holi is one of the most exciting festivals of childhood. As a child, Holi was not just about colors but also about fun, laughter, and endless mischief. 1. The Excitement Before Holi A week before Holi, my friends and I would start collecting colors, pichkaris (water guns), and balloons. We would plan how to splash water on each other and hide buckets full of colored water on the terrace. 2. Waking Up Early on Holi Morning On Holi morning, I would wake up early, excited to start the day. My mother would apply mustard oil on my skin to protect it from colors, while my father filled buckets with colored water. 3. The Fun of Playing with Colors As soon as I stepped outside, my friends would attack me with gulal and water balloons. We ran around the streets, chasing each other with pichkaris, laughing and shouting, "Holi Hai!" 4.
